Biography
Shane Bland initially joined Whitby Town following his release from Middlesbrough in July 2013.The stopper quickly became a fans' favourite at the Towbar Express Stadium, putting in a string of fine performances as he developed in a reliable Northern Premier League goalkeeper.
His excellent displays in his first six years at the club caught the attention of Spennymoor Town who signed Bland permanently in the winter of 2017 but, as things didn't quite work out as planned at The Brewery Field, he went on to line up for West Auckland Town on loan.
Bland then returned to the Seasiders in July 2019 and has gone on to amass over 400 appearances for the club.
