Biography
Middlesbrough-born Wheatley usually plays in the heart of midfield, but offers versatility in a variety of central positions.He was a regular in Boro's youth teams, featuring for their under-18, under-21 and under-23 sides.
In August 2018, Wheatley joined Darlington and his impressive performances with the Quakers earned him an England C call up.
Following five years at Darlington, he was snapped up by Spennymoor Town.
Wheatley joined Whitby on loan during the second half of the 2022/23 season before the move was made permanent in May 2023.
