The 25-year-old forward has also enjoyed spells with Middlesbrough, Sunderland and Darlington, while also having spells in the USA at Fort Lauderdale CF (now Inter Miami II) and Hartford Athletic.

Curry has also turned out on loan at Harrogate Town, Inverness Caledonian Thistle and Gateshead.

Manager Gary Liddle said: "I’m really happy to get a player of Mitch’s quality at this point of the season, especially in an area of the pitch where we need bodies at the moment.

"He’s had a good upbringing and played for some decent clubs so he comes in with some good experience from higher levels.

“He’s eager to get started and help us and we can’t wait to start working with him.”
