Team news: Town unchanged for second game in succession

Liam Ryder18 Apr - 13:15

As Whitby Town look to extend their two-game winning run against FC United of Manchester (kick-off 3pm BST), the Seasiders are unchanged.

Manager Gary Liddle, who also features at the heart of defence, has opted to stick with the same starting XI which picked up three points against Warrington Rylands at the Towbar Express Stadium last Saturday.

Michael Woods and Sam Collins do, however, return to the bench after being ruled out against Rylands with injury and illness respectively. They replace Callum Wilson and Jason Kennedy among the substitutes.

Shane Bland is in goal, with Connor Smith, Frankie Whelan, Gary Liddle, Nathan McGinley and Arron Haswell making up the defence.

Adam Gell, Alfie Doherty and captain Lewis Hawkins are in midfield, with Layton Watts providing support for Matthew Tymon in central attacking positions.

Woods and Collins are joined on the bench by Kasper Williams, Jassem Sukar and Mitchell Curry.
