Whitby Town will take on Boro Rangers in the WOODSmith Construction North Riding Senior Cup final.

Nathan Haslam's side saw off Guisborough Town in the semi-finals two weeks ago, winning 4-3 on penalties after Daniel Rowe and Matthew Tymon exchanged goals in normal time at the King George V Ground.

Goalkeeper Shane Bland's heroics in the shoot-out - in which he saved from Joe Pickett and Robert Dean - sent Town through and their reward is a tie against Northern League Division One outfit Boro Rangers in the final after they saw off Redcar Athletic 5-0 on Tuesday night.

The Seasiders have also beaten Northallerton Town on their way to the final, winning 3-1 at the Calverts Stadium.

Town and Rangers have recent history in the competition having met in the quarter-finals in the 2022/23 season - a penalty shoot-out defeat for the Seasiders after a 1-1 draw.

A confirmed date and venue for the final clash, and any further details about the tie, will be confirmed in due course.
