Whitby Town have confirmed the signing of midfielder Lewis Suddick.
The 22-year-old, who is the grandson of former Newcastle United and Blackpool star Alan Suddick joins having had recent spells with Hebburn Town and Seaham Red Star.
He has also represented both Whitley Bay and North Shields in the past after he release from Newcastle.
Suddick joined North Shields in March 2018 following his departure from St James' Park where he had an academy scholarship.
He was with the based at the Magpies' academy from the age of eight, having started his youth career with Cramlington Juniors where Alan Shearer also learnt his first skills.
Having put pen-to-paper on a deal at the Towbar Express Stadium, Suddick is relishing the chance to playing in the Northern Premier League.
"I obviously want to play as high as I can," said the midfielder.
"I had to take the chance to join as soon as I knew there was interest as I want to play as high up the football pyramid as I can.
"I spoke to a couple of lads that I know and they said that Whitby is a great place to play football, the set up is good and the fans are great. The positive comments certainly attracted me to the club."
