The 20-year-old has been involved with both Newcastle United and Middlesbrough's academies, and after progressing through the setup at Rockliffe Park, signed a deal with Spennymoor in summer 2024.

The Billingham-born youngster made his first team debut for Moors in August, starting between the posts in their 1-0 National League North defeat at Darlington, a game in which Popple saved a penalty.
