Daniel Rowe reflects on last season, whilst also looking ahead to the new campaign

Daniel Rowe was near enough an ever-present during the 2019/20 season before the campaign was ended in March.

Rowe made 40 appearances in total, one as a substitute, and scored the seven goals for the Seasiders last term.

The popular player has been looking back at the club's most recent campaign, talking highlights and where he believes the club could have finished.

I'm delighted to have signed on for next season. We got it done pretty quickly so I'm looking forward to next season now. Hopefully once we get started we can kick on from last season and get up the table early on.

Looking at last season I thought we did well and where we were at what turned out to be the end of the season was fair enough. Maybe we could have been higher and cemented in the play-off places but where we were was fair enough. I thought that we dipped a little bit around Christmas time but then we picked up after that. I thought that the FA Cup run was brilliant and a good experience but I think that we were disappointed to get knocked out in the way we did. Overall I think it was a good season and there were a lot of positives to take from it. Hopefully we can improve again next season.

It was a little bit surprising for me to get as many goals as I did given my position but I think that scoring more goals was something that I needed to add to my game. I did try and target ten goals for the season and I was maybe on track to do that. Hopefully I can try and better that next season but I was happy to get some goals and help the team out. If it goes towards three points then it's a big thing. It's nice to score goals and I'm looking forward to getting that feeling back next season.

The aim next season is to get the play-offs. We want to go even higher if possible and I think we can do that. We've made some good additions to the team so we've got to be aiming for the play-offs as a minimum.

The new signings seem good. I only know a couple who have signed and they are Jacob Hazel and Jameel Ible. Jacob scores goals for fun so he'll be a big boost for us. Jameel is a good defender and he'll fit in at the back straight away. They're both positive signings for us and the other new signings have got good pedigree so I'm looking forward to seeing them in training and they can hopefully help us push on.
