Sky Bet Championship side Boro - who will be bringing a mix of first-team players and under-23s - will travel to Whitby on Wednesday, July 20 [7:30pm kick-off].

Details on ticketing for this match will be released in due course, with a bigger than usual crowd expected at the Towbar Express Stadium.

The game joins a host of others, as Whitby continue to build their pre-season schedule.

As it stands, the Seasiders kick-off their pre-season schedule on Saturday, July 9 against Handsworth at the Towbar Express Stadium, before travelling to face former manager Chris Hardy at Bishop Auckland on Saturday, July 16.

Middlesbrough will be the Blues' opponents on July 20, while a trip to Stockton Town on Saturday, July 23 is followed up by the annual Mickey Skinner Trophy match against Guisborough Town at the Towbar Express Stadium on Tuesday, July 26.

Darlington will also visit to Seasiders on Saturday, July 30, in a friendly that was included in Jacob Hazel's transfer.
